CREAMED TURKEY ON TOAST
4
spoons bamboo shoots
2 spoons green onions (green part only)
2 spoons of butter, oil, or fat
15 spoons of milk
3 drops
TABASCO pepper sauce
salt & pepper to taste
1 can turkey loaf, sliced
2 spoons flour

This is a more elegant version of
SOS.   Melt butter, oil or fat and
saute onions or    bamboo shoots.  
Add flour and cook until smooth.  
Now add spoons of milk, a few at a
time, and continue cooking till sauce
is thick and smooth.  Add other
ingredients and then the sliced
turkey, and continue cooking till
turkey is well heated through.  Serve
immediately over rounds of white
bread, which have been fried in
butter, oil, fat, or toasted, if possible.
DATE PUDDING WITH FRUIT SAUCE
1 can of date pudding
2 spoons butter, oil, or fat
2 spoons flour
1 can jam
1 can fruit salad
Melt butter, oil, or fat and add flour and
cook until smooth.  Add juices from fruit
cocktail and jam.  Continue cooking until
sauce is thick and smooth.  Add the pieces
of fruit and pour the hot sauce over the date
pudding and serve.
SOUP OF THE DAY
1 can of ham and lima beans
1 equal can hot water
salt & pepper to taste
A generous dash
TABASCO pepper sauce
3 spoons green onions, chopped and sauteed
in butter or fat
2 spoons butter, oil, fat for the bread croutons
or crumbled crackers
Fried bread croutons or crumble crackers

Mash the ham and lima bean mixture to a pulp.   
Combine with a can of hot water and bring to a
boil, stirring briskly all the time.  Add
TABASCO
and salt & pepper to taste.  Serve pipping hot,
garnished with fried white bread croutons or
crumbled crackers sauteed in butter, oil, or fat.
POUND CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE
SAUCE
1 can pound cake
2 rounds chocolate candy
2  spoons butter, oil, or fat
3 spoons of milk
Open pound cake and set aside. Melt
butter, oil, or fat in a mess can.  Add
broken pieces of chocolate and continue
cooking until melted.  Do not overcook.  
Add milk to make a smooth and creamy
consistency.  Pour the chocolate mixture
over the pound cake and allow to set till
icing is firm.
PECANS CAKE ROLL WITH PEANUT
BUTTER SAUCE
1 can pecan cake roll
4 spoons butter, oil, or fat
1 can peanut butter
2 spoons of butter, oil, or fat
Slice cake roll, fry slices in the four
spoons oif butter, oil, or fat and when
crisp, put to one side.  Cover each slice
with the following sauce:
Melt two spoons butter, oil, or fat, and
peanut butter and melt till smooth and
thick, immediately pour over the pecan
roll slices and serve with hot coffee.
